Hello.  I have the US Cutter MH871-MK2 and I've been having issues with the machine cutting all text and letters with some distortion.  It doesn't always cut the letters with straight lines or corners.   Any advice is much appreciated.  Thanks.

It doesn't look to be properly set up. You must first start with setting the blade depth. Before you can set the blade offset and force. Do not use any instructions that have to do with using a credit card for setting blade depth. It is wrong.   Then start with your blade offset at 0.25.  Plus or minus 0.05mm  .  Never be pulling from the roll while cutting. Always have enough vinyl loose to do the entire order. Make sure the wheels of the carriage head are firmly down in the track, they may come out in shipping. Run the cutter the slowest speed, until you learn how to operate it. Use the text feature right from the software until you learn it.

This is correct way to set your blade depth.

To start with, you should set your blade depth correctly, by taking the blade holder out of the machine, and firmly cut across a piece of scrap vinyl, you will be cutting. You should only be cutting the vinyl and barely a mark on wax paper backing, Adjust blade to get there, Then put the blade holder back in machine, and use the force of the machine to get there, same results, only cutting the vinyl and barely a mark in wax paper backing. You should just barely see and feel your blade tip out of the blade holder.

what skeeter said = looks a lot like blade depth, and offset is way off to start - you have to have everything set right to move onto more diagnostics

Dial in your blade depth the instructions that Skeeter provided, then do test boxes or diamonds, or whatever shape suits you to see if you need to adjust your offset.

Never pull your cut job directly from the roll, unroll enough slack to do the whole job.

Depending on size and intricacy of design and/or text - you can adjust your blade speed accordingly. the smaller the text, the slower the speed.

Also be sure to unroll the vinyl so that it's not being pulled off the roll as it cuts. It looks like you may have multiple issues so if getting blade depth and offset dialed in doesn't full fix the problem don't get frustrated.
