second press of medium is not sticking to the first adhesion press, and heat press is sticking where i cannot open it if i set it as required and not staying down if i set it for less force

when i use adhesive backing paper, the adhesion takes but the foil does not.... also when i set the heat press for more press it sticks and i need tools ( hammer ) to release it , if i dont use enough press it will not close , but i must not that im only using half turns on both help !
