Cutting a Stencil w/ Graphtec FC8600

Recommended Posts

I got a customer that wants a Stencil of his logo, and was wondering if its possible to make one with my cutter? Is there special martial that's made for this?

Ive never done perforation cutting with my cutter but figured it could probably work and make a Stencil.

I save all the clear backing I can from any regular vinyl that I use that has it. For instance Oracal frosted glass (8600 I think) and Gerber 225 have clear synthetic liners. These make exceptional stencils. You just have to use a backing layer. on small stuff I use a cricut cutting mat and on anything very large I use a piece of clear transfer tape as a carrier. Have had great success on the occasional request.
