djauto 0 Posted December 5, 2013 Hi, My PCut630 used to work fine, I stopped using it and then went to use it the other day and it no longer works. 9600 baud rate 8 none 1 Windows7 I can see the device on com 1, and its connected threw usb, it states working fine but when I send a job threw I get the error: Can not open output device. error initializing cutter. I also have a new Desktop with Windows 8 and Corel DrawX6 if this would be a better route for me? Any help would be appreciated thank you Auto Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
BearlyRich 167 Posted December 6, 2013 A Keyspan adapter would be a better route! Are you connected USB direct to the plotter or through some kind of USB-Serial adapter? If direct USB, you may have to have the plotter on and on-line before you boot the computer for it to be recognized correctly. I'm not sure. I run a true serial cable to mine. Windows does not play fair with USB com ports and they will change number after re-boots. Make sure you see the plotter-com port device in devices and make sure SB is set up for the same port.
