how to split text in half

I am trying to split the word DRIVEN  in half. so I can use light gray vinyl on the top half and a darker

gray on the bottom half. I am using Signblazer. Any and all help welcome please. thank you

Would it be advised to overlap this some for future shrinkage ? Even the higher end vinyl shrink some .

Thank you ALL for the great instructions!!! It worked both ways. the polyline was the easiest for me.

 

should i adjust the top or bottom of the text for shrinkage?

which top or bottom would you suggest.  would that mean making the length longer on one of them?

I always put the top over the bottom to prevent water and dirt from sitting on the overlap. Increase the bottom height slightly to give the top something to lay on.
