Newbie with a question? (Don't we always!)

Recommended Posts

Hi - I'm from Indiana and just getting started on signs and stuff.

My question is this?  Where do you usually put your grommets on coroplast signs?  I know in the corner - but what's the best measurement in?

I usually stay 1/2" in from sides and haven't had any tear out yet.

And welcome from South Carolina.

Thanks for the response!  I've just created 12 double sided 3' x 4' signs for a local 4-H fair and now have to put the grommets in and didn't want to screw up all my hard work.

I eyeball it.. about 1/2" in.

I guess I am a stickler for measurements I use a combination square and mark 1inch each way where the lines intersect is the center of my gromet so that would make it about 5/8 inch in to the edge of the gromet I suppose . I also do the same when installing a sign on a wall or post by marking a line all around with a combo square and a stabilo then centering the screws on exact center measurements.

It just gives it a more uniform professional look .
