They rust so fast its unbelievable.

Those grommets are good for indoor banners or short time banner (b/days, graduations ....)

Since I can't find the deal he mentioned, I can't really comment.

However..I can say..I've never seen a grommet rust, and I've had banners in the field for 5 years with plain, nickle plated grommets.

Well, I've learned my lesson after I bought press and print banner for myself .

Few weeks in and I realized rust from the grommets lives nasty smudges on the banner.

I'm speaking from my personal experience .

Difference in the price for 1000 pcs (grommets and washers) between "plated " ones and 100% brass is $10.00

Now tell me is it worth risk and aggravation?

For me it's not.

BTW

Here is the grommet machine:

well, a little rust looks better than BRASS once it turns green...unless you polish it occasionally. It weon't rust but it sure will tarnish. Not to mention brass is an extremely SOFT metal.Easily bent. That is why I don't use 100% brass for outdoor banners.learned the lesson from doing grommets on canvas tents for awhile.

So far, 1000+ banners and counting in the last 4 years, not a single complaint.

OK

Green on the grommets is not deal breaker as. Rust smudge runing down on the nice white banner.

Please take in consideration i live in Pittsburgh , town with a lots Of rainy days .
