  1. Hi everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm having some trouble with my Liyu SC1261 - I've been using the pen function for drawing technical imagery and in the last few runs, the plotter has been fading out in the centre 50cm or so of the bed (see attached images for examples). I initially thought this might be an issue with the biros I was using however this has proven to not be the case as I have tried different pens from various manufacturers and all are doing the same thing - I have tried upping the pen pressure to the max but this has also done nothing. I know this plotter has been around for a fair few years so I'm wondering if this issue is specifically with the carriage belt tension? The plotter is well maintained - cleaned on a regular basis and stored away from harm etc., so I'm pretty positive there isn't some kind of jam in the main rollers. I've also tried seeing if placement of the pinch rollers is helpful in aiding the change in pressure but sadly this is not the case. Does anyone have an idea of what this might be caused by and the first step I can take in solving the issue? Thanks so much in advance and have a lovely day! - Melissa x
  2. I've searched and searched for many months. I've been through troubleshooting with Graphtec, bought the way too expensive "static fixer" and I still have the problem, RANDOMLY!! PLEASE HELP! I'm getting one of three things. GREAT CUT, NO PROBLEMS Straight lines through the middle of my art (my files are clean, it's not that) usually going from an edge to the start of a part of the art. Diagonal lines all over the place, again connecting one part to another (first two pictures showing art at an angle) SOFTWARE: Using Illustrator 2020 - 24.3 (don't dare upgrade for fear of it not working again) Cutting Master 4.3.70 Cut files are simple vectors always and I'm using Siser Easyweed or Siser Glitter. I've also tried bringing a file into Graphtec Studio and it's hit or miss as well. Adjusted knife, have reset to factory settings, restarted both machines, swapped out cords and usb ports. Keep the Graphtec off until I'm ready to use it. Sometimes it cuts just fine, other times it doesn't, many times in the same morning or afternoon. Don't have the money to upgrade right now.

    Brand new cutter

Just got a brand new US Cutter laserpoint 2 and I've been messing around with it using my macbook. Fist project cut perfect on the vinyl and i was very excited, now im trying to cut my second project and when i click to cut the image is pushed all the way to the right of my mat leaving several inches on the left. When i send it through the cutter about 2 inches of it is missing on the right. How do i fix this?... please help quick
