  1. Please Help. Model:MH721 Program:SCAL Pro I am cutting circles that seem a little off. Not oval just off. The only think that makes a difference (for the good) is reducing pressure to 30g but this don’t seem to go all the way through the vinyl. At 40g it cuts but deforms the circles a little. Higher pressure makes it works. I have tried: Different lead, different PC, changing blade length, blade speed, vinyl type, Offset and over it, new blade, different program. Anyone have a solution.
  2. Hi everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm having some trouble with my Liyu SC1261 - I've been using the pen function for drawing technical imagery and in the last few runs, the plotter has been fading out in the centre 50cm or so of the bed (see attached images for examples). I initially thought this might be an issue with the biros I was using however this has proven to not be the case as I have tried different pens from various manufacturers and all are doing the same thing - I have tried upping the pen pressure to the max but this has also done nothing. I know this plotter has been around for a fair few years so I'm wondering if this issue is specifically with the carriage belt tension? The plotter is well maintained - cleaned on a regular basis and stored away from harm etc., so I'm pretty positive there isn't some kind of jam in the main rollers. I've also tried seeing if placement of the pinch rollers is helpful in aiding the change in pressure but sadly this is not the case. Does anyone have an idea of what this might be caused by and the first step I can take in solving the issue? Thanks so much in advance and have a lovely day! - Melissa x

    Heat foam for hat press

Hey guys so my hotronix hat press came in and I was extremely happy up until I pressed my first hat. It was a foam hat and I did exactly what I was reading. (This was for sublimation) I placed my print lined it up and threw heat tape on it with no Teflon (which another bad idea) I don’t know why they tell you not to use it but some ink got on my heat platen and you’ll see it on my white hat below. Craft paper should probably have been used. but anyway so now the press completes and it has markings from the heat tape and a box around the print from the paper. I figured I needed more of a firm base so I didn’t get bent out of shape I ordered Teflon pillows and still getting creases in the hats I tried different pressures but did stay around the area pressure you should be at when applying subs and or vinyl. If anyone has any feedback I’d appreciate the help. I will attach some photos and maybe just let me know what you think. The red hat creased in the middle and the gray and white foam hats I’m sure you’ll see the marks. (Gray hat done with no pillow) everything else had the pillow. I looked for a firm heat safe foam but can’t seem to find anything safe for heat up to 400 degrees. One hat came out perfect and I think cause it’s a different style hat.
  4. Hi everyone! I hope I'm posting it in the right area - this forum seem to have a good amount of traffic so hopefully it can help. I apologize if it's not. New to decal/vinyl making, and got my SC Cutter 34" set up in no time today using Sure Cuts a Lot Pro 3 for Mac. Got the machine going and software set up, and made my very first print without too much headache - except for one minor issue: The pinch roller is leaving textured marks on the vinyl after a cut (attached is a photo of the finished piece after weeding - if you look at the B you can see the what I mean about the roller putting textured marks where the vinyl is being pushed down on the textured silver area). I'm using the 12"x5 yard Greenstar vinyl. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
  5. I am baffled at my copam cutter. It makes a knocking noise when the carriage brings down the blade, which it has never done before. I tried plotting with a pen and it worked great and made no noise. It also won't cut at all uness it is on the lower pressure settings, which makes no sense at all. When I put it on the lowest pressure it will cut, but it skips spots in letters, like it doesn't completely come back to cut where it started (that's plain as mud ) When I up the pressure it starts out great, but after cutting a bit it is only barely marking the vinyl. Checked the cutting strip and it has no cuts. So, not sure what to replace.... the mother board, the carriage, the blade holder???
  6. So I am having trouble getting the proper settings for cutting 3M DG3 material, I have had no problems cutting 3M and Avery HIP but this DG3 seems to be a bit more tough, have any of you had any luck in cutting this material?

    Trouble with pressure/cutting/weeding

I'm having a few issues with my new Mh-721 1. Sometimes, the plotter won't finish cutting i.e, leaves out the circle in the Capitol "R" 2. Can't seem to get the right pressure on thicker tshirt vinyl, right now I have it on the highest pressure and its still not cutting all the way through in spots, (using a 60 blade) 3. I'm using Imprintables glitter vinyl and it seems IMPOSSIBLE to weed, it just comes apart in big uneven clumps!
  8. I'm trying to set up my 14" MH cutter. With th blade pressure set at 100 and about 300 speed, the built-in test pattern comes out beautifully. However, when I switch to sending over a design through Sign Cut Pro, the cutter begins to cut with little or no pressure - it leaves no marks on the vinyl! The software speed/pressure is greyed out on sign cut, I'm assuming the MH series don't support that. But why would the test cut come out great, but the actual design has no force? Thanks!
