    Sign Blazer not cutting project

I have had my cutter (PCut) for almost five years now with the occasional hicup. I just ran into a problem where my project stopped cutting in the middle of the design. I was doing a 34" long saying and it stopped about 22" into it. Thought it was hiccup and moved on. Noticed it is only cutting when you send it to cutter and it gives you a display of the cutter with the item being cut the rest where it is past the cutter (right side/infeed roller) is not being cutting. I foung that if i press the "cut" again that it continues but where it stopped it cuts completly vertcally through all my letters. This is something new to me. I have in the past cut tons of 96" long banner/truck graphics in one cutting with no problem. I recently had US Cutter talk me through an update of SignBlazer software because of the "count down timer" issue. No count down timer (was up tp 800 for past year) but know this. Any help out there before I call US Cutter?
  4. I have media that cannot be printed on and because of that I can't put registration marks. the media is bland and doesn't need to be cut in a specific location but just optimize the room for the the most cutting per sqaure foot. Please help i am new to this.
  5. Hi! I am having trouble with cutting software for the SC series of US Cutter plotters. Currently I have been using SCALpro as that came with my machine. I have also tried- Flexicut pro: it seems fairly complicated and will not import my scal designs properly at all, no SC model drivers Make The Cut: no drivers seem to be compatible with the SC model Signcut Pro- looked like a complicated mess. On the other hand, I have learned cutting by using a Silhouette cameo with the silhouette software, which is very easy for me to navigate. My question is this: What software can I use that is USER FRIENDLY and also has a driver for my SC model? If it can read my SCAL or .studio files that would be great so I wont have to re-do all of my files. I have tried exporting/importing as svg files and they aren't copying the cut files properly. :/ I am beginning to feel like an idiot, so thought I would check and see if anyone could help. Thanks so much!
  6. Greetings. I just got my 365 and wow. After reading a ton of these threads, I have a question. I am using a Mac, scal, and all of adobe for my images. The issue I am having is understanding my origin. I can not it it set. My second question is this...I am printing on vinyl, and then I need my images cut to perfection. How do I do that?
  7. I'm using a MacBook Pro and the Laserpoint 2 Cutter. The cutter and my computer communicate just fine, where i'm having an issue is when the cutter is cutting the blade doesn't lift up off of the vinyl. For example; when I'm cutting a word it cuts the letters out and cuts from letter to letter as well. Anyone have a solution that can help? Thanks.
  8. Hello, im just starting to use CorelDraw for designing graphics, I have ve lxi expert software that I have been using. im designing race car graphics and I can make them using a template in draw, but I want to bring the design into my software to cut the different graphics, i'll attach a picture of a simple design of a flame decal, it is a larger decal I placed where I wanted, but there is some of the design that runs off the car and is hidden due to the template. I only want to cut what shows on the car, not all the extra of the design, or if I can possibly cut a few inches extra to help when installing them. Would it be best to powerclip the flame into the outline of the car, then just export it? not sure what works best, im sure it would be easier if I were printing the design but don't have the capabilities for that yet, just cut vinyl. Thank you for any advice and help.
  9. I've recently started playing around with contour cutting. Basically, I ordered some 8.5x11 vinyl for my desktop printer, to print and cut with. I am using Draw X5 for my design, and then Flexi 8.1 for my print and contour cutting. I print my design out with my printer, usually just one decal, instead of a whole page. I use FlexiSign Pro 8.1 to make my contour, and it also prints the Reg marks for me properly and all that jazz, I use my MH721 plotter with the Pen tool to help line me reg marks up, I can usually get them right on, yet my contour cut doesn't come out right. I don't really know where to go from here. It seems like its just stretching out my contour or maybe my print didn't scale correctly, not totally sure. Maybe someone can help me solve this problem. I've had success contour cutting with this same setup, but only on small items, or very very simple contours. (On the images attached, the rectangle is from me playing with the Compensation factor, which lines up good. Roughly 0.015625 of an inch off. That small margin should cause the contour to be that far off.) Any suggestions? It would be super nice to get this to work somehow, would really help out my business and my turn around times for the customers who order 8.5x11 sheets of decals.
  10. I am using the 14" MH series to cut stencils no bigger than 8" by 8" out of vinyl. My SCALP version is 3.052. I used the trace function to create a cutable file from a .jpg. The first file I cut turned out perfect. It was not very complicated and only a few small shapes. The second file I tried was more intricate, but in the same size range. Approx 6" x 6". . The first attempt with the second image resulted in an orientation shift of a small portion of the image. One foot was rotated 90 degrees on the axis and was cut along the left side wing area. Small small straight lines were also left, almost as though it was attempting to finish the cut prior to the orientation change. The second attempt had the same issue, only with a different small portion of the image. If I remember correctly, one the wing sections was shifted 90 degrees on the axis and a long cut was made to get the cutter to that point. On both there were cuts, not in the file, across the image. It appears the cutter was not lifted between movements. The image below is the base image to the file I created in SCALP, for reference to the above descriptions. I can post the SCAL file if it would help. My questions are: Is there a way to stop this from happening? Is the file too intricate for this cutter? Is this a cutter problem, rather than software? My assumption was maybe the program is sending incorrect information or is set incorrectly.

    Trouble with pressure/cutting/weeding

I'm having a few issues with my new Mh-721 1. Sometimes, the plotter won't finish cutting i.e, leaves out the circle in the Capitol "R" 2. Can't seem to get the right pressure on thicker tshirt vinyl, right now I have it on the highest pressure and its still not cutting all the way through in spots, (using a 60 blade) 3. I'm using Imprintables glitter vinyl and it seems IMPOSSIBLE to weed, it just comes apart in big uneven clumps!

    Copam Help!! (please :) )

So I recently posted about going from an MH to something else I ended up with Copam 3050. I came into the forums read around got it set right cut a good 10 decals turned it off for the night. Come back on today and now it either says it's cutting and it's not doing anything or I have been trying to cut something 15x30 and it's jumbling it (cutting it ontop of what it's already cut) on a 12x12 portion of the vinyl. I slowed down my speed, lowered everything like some forums suggested to get it going that's how I got it running today. Now i'm confused. I run Sure Cuts A Lot Pro never had an issue like this....
  15. Hi, I am trying to figure out if there is a way to deal with the cutting order when sending a job to Craft Robo Pro (CE-5000-40-CRP). I typically work on AutoCad/Rhinoceros 3D to generate my 2D file, which I then import into Adobe Illustrator. Following the typical instructions of setting up at Cutting Master 2 in Adobe Illustrator, the eventual job gets done without a problem. But in my case, I am looking for a particular method to speed up the workflow. The file that I that I have been working on has enormous amount of staggered cut lines (please see attached screengrab). What I have been trying to do is to find out the way to control the order of the cut. But with several attempts of trying, there are many cases that it will cut certain portion of the far left hexagon and then it jumps to other hexagon and starts cutting them. Lets say that this file can potentially be done in 1 hour, but this inconsistent jump to other cut will subtly cause a certain amount of time wasted, maybe another 15-20 minutes will be wasted for non-cutting head travel. I would like so that the machine will cut them in particular order (say from inside to out, and clockwise) so that the work flow will be a bit more smoother. If anyone have any suggestions or similar experience please let me know.

I have an image that i have run through vector magic and installed in flex it has a red outline with plot lines around it. How do i change the outline colour and be able to move the outline in a bit to not get any white edges. Also how do i insert plot marks to send to my printer ready to cut.
