    Redsail RS720C jagged some edges

I've changed the main board, but with no positive results. Remain to change my plotter I think. Anyway bigger designs have no problems, but little ones, are a disaster.

I've just ordered a new motherboard for my plot. Hope will be ok. Spoke with a "service man" who manage only Redsail plotters and he told me that on step by step motors is no way to recalibrate. Only the boar is doing that. After his opinion, the only thing that could cause this problem is the board and only the board. So here are 2 people saying the same thing (SignTorch and the "service man"), seeing that, I thought that the right choice is to buy a new one. I'll write here the news on this weekend for the other people with the same problem. All my respect SignT.

The files is here. You will see that is ok with the file, because I went on a shop near me and on their cutter was absolutly perfect. BrosTrading LOGO2016__UP_Size200X27_Rev-2016-03-02.ai COPRGTB.TTF

Thank you for your implication. The image showed here is only a little vector up and a font down. It is doing the same thing with an ordinary circle. It is not doing only when straight lines are asked. So, on circle, on oblic lines, curved....everything is messed up. The square is perfect. SignTorch what can I do for calibrating the motors if there is the problem? For the board , I will change it if necessary.
  5. I have a 5 months old buyed brand new plotter REDSAIL RS720C. Like you see in the picture attached I have a problem with it and nobody in my country know what to do with it to work perfectly. It makes on the design (photo attached are 6 cm long) very jagged edges (zipper edges) and don’t know why. It is possible that all of this type of cutter are doing the same thing keeping in mind that are the economycal plotters. I‘ve been changed the blades, blade holder, even the teflon band, the Computer, the operating system and the softwares (using now Flexisign 10.5.0 PRO) and have the same results. It is possible to be the Motherboard or the chip STD on it, or the belt is too lose? Please, please x10000times to give me a hand to tell me your opinion about it. Thank you very much.

Jagged Cuts Due to Blade Offset

Thank you very much Dakotagrafx. I'll call SAI to see what I can do about jagged edges.

Jagged Cuts Due to Blade Offset

sorry for my english. It is possible that I didn't make myself clear about that. So, YES, I'm making the text with text tool in flexi, not vectorize something. The offset of the knife is ok, the square is square, the round is round...everything is ok with it. The problem is that I have jagged text (like a saw blade). 2th: If I put 0 the offset, there is no jagged (but the text or square or round is not closeing ok. PS: the fact is that I've tryed with PCSign too or Artcut and make the same thing.

Jagged Cuts Due to Blade Offset

Dakotagrafx thanks for your quick reply but let me say the follows: I'm trying to cut only text (not graphic whitch can affect resolution). If I'm taking to 0 the knife offset, the lines are with no jagged, but, like you said before, the corners are not ok. If I'm putting (in my case 0.40cm) knife offset, the corners are ok and the curved klines are jagged. I can play a little with curve quality, witch is put to medium, because if I'm setting it up to HIGH, the jagged are more pronunced. So....what should I do?

    Redsail RS720C laserpoint offset problems

iIt's possible that I didn't make myself clear enough, when I'm saying LASERDOT I men redeye, not the laser that read the mark by himself and after that cut's it. I meen only a red laser point that helps you to make the alignment more easier. Sorry if I said laserpoint and not red eye.

    Redsail RS720C laserpoint offset problems

Mz SKEETER, thank's for your replay but the fact is the follow: with that laser dot is more easier to align it with the 4 marks for the contour cut. Only for that reason I'm trying to figure out how to do. At the end, shure, I'll use it witouth the dot, but belive me that's easier to align those with the dot and you don't have to watch and watch again, to push the blade to see if it's in the right spot. Anyway if Flexi is not made to work with it, that's life. Than's anyway ma' friend.
  15. I have a big problem with Flexisign 10.5.1. When I'm making a contourcut with the blade directly on the mark it's working like a charm, but when I try to make a contour cut using the Laserpoint of my cutter, it is off a little bit (something arround ~1mm) from where should be. The offset of my laser dot is X=-1.3mm and Y=-65.7mm. If anybody is gentile to help me, I'mm give a beer. Thank you.
