    Blade not raising up

I have my doubts that this is the problem ..BUT.,..willing to try. Found the grounding wire. There was no mention of this in the setup instructions, so it was never put on, and we have never had problems. How / where do I connect this ... from what to what.

    Blade not raising up

Ground wire Not sure what that is. Carpeted area? yes, very short. No to the tight roll, no to the hot or humid. This problem started suddenly. As I mentioned, even when doing that "test" by pressing the "origin" button, it clicks, but does not move up and down.

    Blade not raising up

Just an update. This is definitely a hardware problem. The blade holder just simply stays down against the vinyl and does not move up off it. Even when I turn the machine off, then back on, it drags across the vinyl. When I do the test where you push the origin button, it USED to move up and down so I could tell it was working properly. Now it does nothing.
  4. Hi. Left a voice message for support. Here's my problem with our MH721 .... was getting lines across my graphic. After thinking pressure settings were off, blade was too far out, etc.,etc., finally figured out that the blade is not raising up off the vinyls it glides through the cutting process. NEED HELP !!!

    Font problems?

Does anyone find problems with only certain fonts used in Corel? Some fonts, especially script fonts (but not all), we have to "weld" in Corel before saving as an ".ai" file, in order to not have vertical and/or diagonal lines in or inbetween the letters. But some fonts we can't seem to find ANY solution to get ride of these lines. Not sure I'm making sense. But it does seem that some fonts are more difficult or impossible ??

    MH721 - thickness of vinyl

Are you saying one tenth of a milimeter??? Or do you mean three milimeters? or 30 milimeters. Sorry, I don't quite undertstand, and I'm looking at a ruler and I think I'm mis-reading you. Also, we just successfully cut a S425S Hartco Sandmask, and I am sure that is at least two milimeters thick. We are hoping we can do thicker.
  7. Had a similar problem last week when we got ours. What worked for me was using the cable for the COM port, not LPT, and even then, COM1 didnt' work, but COM2 did.
  8. Hi all, What is the thickest vinyl we can run on the Refine MH721. Also, is there just one size blade, or do we need different blades for different thicknesses of vinly? As you can tell ... a newbie here !!

Cutting from Corel to a MH721

Um, I was trying to say that we use Corel 8 ... (as in the number eight), but the eight came out as an emoticon.

Cutting from Corel to a MH721

I am either not understanding this thread, or not understanding the driver that I linked to from this forum and downloaded to my desktop. CAN you cut directly form Corel (in our instance it is Corel Draw to the Refine MH721? And that corel driver I downloaded is for Graftec plotters or something like that. No mention of Refine. So is there a different one for Refine plotters? Can someone clarify both questions? Thanks.
