  1. We have a Copam cutter that was working properly until it started cutting unevenly. We thought it was the cutting strip, so we bought and replaced the original cutting strip with a new one. After spending $20 on the cutting strip, it still cut the vinl unevenly, not even cutting through at times, sometimes cutting part of the vinyl and ripping it up, making it unuseable. Last night while my daughter was making some numbers she found that the new vinyl strip allready had grooves and ridges in it from the cutting blade cutting through. But see, sometimes it won't even cut through and it's been a hassel to cut even when it was new. Is there something we are doing wrong, or it this a simple mistake we can easily fix? Thank you very much!

    "Arching" text

I have just bought a cp-2500 cutter and it came with the "sign cut" software (trial 1-year version). I am trying to make text "arch" but cannot figure out how to do that. Can someone please explain to me how to do this? Thank you! ~Lisa
  5. OK... Silly me! I guess I installed the wrong driver.... I went and got help via login123.com and they fixed the problem for me. the cutter is up and running and we are having a LOT of fun playing with it! :-)
  6. I installed the drivers and it stiill does not want to work.......Cutter is on, computer is on, they are connected via USB cable that came woth the cutter, I have installed 2 diferent USB drivers and still nothing! I am very frustrated! I thoughth by now I would be frustrated at cutting but I can't get anything to the cutter to cut! Any more suggestions??? I am at my witts end!

  8. Hello, I just bought a cp-2500 and installed all of the software I received on line. I have tried over and over again to cut a design and it is like the computer and cutter don't even know the other exists! 3 different people have tried to get this cutter going and nothing is happening! I can't seem to find the drivers that were supposedly installed into my computer. This is very frustrating! I even tried reinstalling my drivers and my computer keeps saying that I need a CD to install them but never received one. I just received the email with the web site download. I followed the instructions to get the cutter going and was able to do several test cuts. My computer is connected to the cutter via USB port. It reads that something is "there" but says it needs to be updated via CD. Is there anyone out there that can help me? I keep thinking that it must be something very easy and silly but after working on it for over 6 hours I am pretty fed up.....Thank you, ~Lisa

    Before I buy.....

Thanks for your input! I really appreciate it! I have another question....Because we are just starting out, I also have no idea as to what kind of software to use, and we are going to buy a new computer so what would be good to get? We are going to get a laptop, but don't know what is the best windows version to get. Also, what supplies do we need to get to get started? There looks like there is so much to buy but I don't know if it would be cheeper to buy at the local walmart, hobby store or thru US cutter. Can someone please give me a basic list of supplies? thank you so much for all of your input! I am really in the dark but I see that there is a light at the end of the tunnel! ~Lisa

    Before I buy.....

My husband and I are wanting to buy a plotter/cutter to use to make signs and decals. we really don't know what we are getting into and need some help as to which one to buy. Our plans: A small scale business making decals, graphics for race cars and karts, and signs..... We don't want to go with the most exspensive one out there but also do not want to buy the smallest and most inexspensive. Loking for input, and help for we really don't know anything about this! Is there somewhere (a website perhaps) that can help us learn about this? Also, what is the best software out there to help us do this type of graphics? Thank you for your help! ~Lisa
