    noob first results

It doesn't have any problem finding them, it's placing them on the sheet within the printable and cuttable area. I had to move them manually, then print. Then it finds them automatically as you say. took me a while to figure out large graphics contour cut from sheet vinyl. If I put the sheet vinyl on the carrier sheet I can move the registration marks all the way to the corners of the printable & cuttable vinyl and not wast so much!
  2. I have a graphtec that came with Cutting Master 2 Plug-in for use with Adobe Illustrator

I got my first printed vinyl and contour cuts done. I think I learned enough about robo master pro to know I will need something more. setting registration marks manually and defining the cuts was kinda a pain.

Ordered a robo pro on Wednesday afternoon, came this afternoon, applied first text graphics tonight. I'm happy! Tomarrow I'll try printed graphic and contour cut. Thanks for the help in this forum

so you can fit the registration marks between the 14.5" graphic and the 15" vinyl and it will cut? I heard somewhere there needed to be 1/2" between edge and reg mark, then another 1/2" to graphic so cut would be more like 12.5" max??? you selling yours new new or used?

Anyone know the largest contour cut this machine will make? I see cutter does 14.75" and it holds 19" media. To do a contout cut the alignment marks must be some distance from the graphic and the media edge, so it's not clear to me how wide a graphic it will contour cut. thanks

    another noob with 1000 questions

dumb question, what is "calandered" vinyl?
  9. Sounds like a nice cutter but with so little feedback I'm really reluctant. I know it's rebadged but you never know just what the private lable agreements are on quality, materials, etc. Anyone out there with one of these from uscutters and can comment on their experiance? I wish uscutter would blow out a few more to get the chatter up!
  10. I posted this in the epson 1100 thread but thought it might be a hijack so I removed it and posted a new thread. I bought some of the printable waterproof vinyl, waterproof UV laminate, and some spray laminate to try from papilio. My test prints came out very nice, both the overlaminate and the spray worked well but the spray was kind of smelly pain. I just cut by hand now since I haven't made a cutter decision. I was wondering what the contour cut process would be with this material. If I print a page with registration marks and apply the overlaminate, will a contour cutter be able to cut both the overlaminate and the vinyl at the same time? Anyone done this? Would it require any special "specifications" I should be aware of when I'm looking for a contour cutter? thanks

can I print on vinyl with epson wf1100

wouldn't it be less wasteful to use a 12" roll? Use it right off the roll?

Thanks, I'll take a look. Agree that $100 to go from 15" to 24" is a nobrainer if the quality is good.

can I print on vinyl with epson wf1100

I ordered some sheets from papilio to try, it's reasonable but a roll would be best.
