thanks wildgoose definitely will start with the pen! I bought paper bc I planned to do some sketch style designs for an art friend to use as a paint scheme so I will try that first and see how it goes!

so ive been on this forum for over 4 months now and have read and read and read anything and everything I could soak up and learn! ive learned tons of cool things. but im still a little nervous on where to even start... I mean I know igotta put the machine together. I have corel draw and scalp for software but I don't even know where to begin on a design ive attempted at a simple logo but simple wont work forever! PLS HELP I know there is tons of vetrerans on this site!

What is everyone using for stencil on there etches?
does normal everyday vinyl work or does the etching gun remove it?

I spent a little extra up front and made sure computer was top notch 32gb of ram! never see any issues!

im not trying to go that small yet! im starting as a hobbyist you never know where things go from there! so its definitely a great starter machine? im definitely looking at he 50 inch!

has anyone owned or used this machine? come to the conclusion and looks like the machine im gonna go with as my first cutter.... ive researched and researched... ive read practically every thread on this site. I think im finally ready to make the purchase and get started

Welcome from Delaware. I run a Graphtec with windows 8. I hate Windows 8 but had to get a new computer so had to get win 8 but will be getting xp or win 7 as soon as I get a chance.how is it running on windows 8? im highly trained on windows 8 so it being new isn't a factor for me I just wanna know the quality of how rhe machine runs! I can always down grade to a windows 7 but I like windows 8

just wanted to introduce my self! im new to the vinyl side of the industry but very familiar with graphic side! ive done tons of research for countless hours before deciding to join the vinyl side of this hobby! looking forward to see what it brings to my knowledge and how I can expand what I do! definitely looking for positive pointers to help this knowledge on top of the tons of research and reading topics on this forum I have done!

I started intermediate laserpoint 2. fedex tracking said it was suppose to arrive Wednesday then today now it says tomorrow so lets hope!
