I had an opportunity to pick up a wide format dye ink printer that is in very good condition. It prints very nicely and I'd like to be able to utilize it somehow in my business. My business has been limited to vinyl signage so fare. What are my options? Or better yet, how can I utilize my new toy in my sign business. Any suggestions would be helpful. I understand that I can't print on the rolled adhesive vinyl materials...is this true across the board or are there alternatives so that I can print full color decals and such on my printer?

What pressure setting are you using? I am having the same problem but I have to believe it's inconsistency in the vinyl because there will be a band of barely cut vinyl the whole width of the piece from left to right about 2 inches wide. That would lead me to believe that the vinyl is a bit thinner in that spot.

Does anyone know of a good source for adhesive vinyl sheet goods 13x19 or less for printing full color decals. I want to print them, laminate them, then contour cut them. Any guidance would be helpful as I am only finding roll stuff that is 24" and larger. Thank you.

Just found a great deal on an Epson R1800. Any thoughts on this model?

Does anyone know if you can swap CIS systems on the Epson 1400 from Dye to Sublimation or Pigment? I know that the 1400 will work with both but can you swap back and forth?

Just wondering if someone out there have any good Honda Goldwing logos or Goldwing bike vectors. I want to make a custom mailbox for my mom and stepdad. They ride their Goldwings everywhere so I thought that would be kinda cool. Thank You in advance.

Thanks for the advice. I had thought about making it stand out a bit. I'll definitely play around with it. As far as the back, I was planning on putting a calendar or tip calculator or BAC chart or something like that so maybe people would keep it on them instead of throwing it in a pile with the rest.
