  1. Looks like an offset setting in SingCut. Uninstall it, and reinstall it to get back to default settings.
  2. Not sure about the EH version, but if it were an MH, I would try the Roland PNC-1000 driver in Flexi.

Yea- the funny Chinese have made "improvements" to the carriage arm on the PCut's, so if you have an older version, and a newer version of the unit, you will not be able to swap them unfortunately. Probably need to see if USCutter has a replacement for you- good luck. As for the perforating issue- these units are really touchy: hardly any of the blade should be exposed from the blade holder- I mean, you should barely be able to see any blade sticking out at all. Too much blade sticking out would cause this issue. Adjusting the pressure alone will not resolve it, if the blade depth is not set right. Again, good luck!
  4. Several potential customers have asked if our cutters will cut 2-7mil vinyl because the specs say 1mm max thickness. To clarify: 1mm = 39.3700787 mils

    How would you spend $800

    24" Copam & Flexi
  6. I would take a Copam over a Seiki any day. Can't say whether it is more or less accurate than a Seiki- because I only have experience with the Copams. Any cutter from any manufacturer could have an issue some time or another- but I know the Copams are built more solid.
  7. Maybe it does not like COM4. Unplug the USB cable, then plug it in to a different USB port on the computer. See if it is assigned a different COM #, and then select the new COM # in SignBlazer. If SignBlazer freezes to the point of having to reboot the computer- unplugging the USB cable from the computer will free it up alot of times.

    Dont buy a US Cutter

I had a Bell protect my melon on one particular occasion- they are well worth the extra $$.
  9. Make sure there is no play in the feed rollers perhaps? Each feed rollers has a few screws to tighten on each end, if they were to get loose.

    CTN 630 Woes

Shoddy Chinese design and technology. After everything you have tried- a new motherboard is the next step I would try- leaning towards a memory problem as well- buffer issue maybe.

    Us Cutter on you tube

Blessings indeed! Nothing else has popped up thank goodness. Am due to go back in for another checkup in Feb. though (fingers crossed). No need to thank me. Although appreciated, it is thanks enough knowing I am helping those who need it, whenever possible. Nice to see how big this place is now. Thinking of getting my own cutter early next year, so I have been on a bit more lately.

USB connection by chance? Does the PCut have a 9-pin Serial connection?

    Dont buy a US Cutter

It is unfortunate to be in that situation. Anytime someone spends $1250 on a roll of material, and only a few hundred on the machine to cut that material, is only setting themselves up for heartache. Hopefully the replacement is up to snuff.

    Us Cutter on you tube

Ken leaving USCutter was tough on all of us , even harder on John & several other members who had personal contact with him . Ken was & is a grreat guy . Things change & anybody coming into that position would have a couple strikes against them sort of like a step-parent coming into a situation . I know there is much more that goes on besides what is written on this forum . I don't know what went on, but hope everybody can bury the proverbial hatchet ..... & I do mean proverbial . I think it is best left alone , I just wanted to know if that was Brandon in the video . Bringing the unpleasant stuff up is like stirring crap , only makes it stink more . I have had friends who I could have buried a different kind of hatchet .. but the issues got resolved & the relationship went on in good terms , Time does help heal things . Aww shucks, thanks Rodger! I am still here though!!
  16. Can you tell if the material is slipping on the skewed side? Maybe some crud on the feed roller? After swapping the pinch rollers around and getting the same side to skew- my next thought would be the feed roller on that particular side.
  17. Which make and model of cutter did you have selected in Flexi?
  18. If it is not a static issue- probably need to replace the carriage.

    measuring problems

And sometimes if the material is not laying perfectly flat, say maybe it bows up a little, the "eye" may not notice it.
  20. If the carriage is secure, also check to make sure the feed rollers are tight- no play in those puppies.

Also, more downforce pressure, and less blade exposed will help. Might take a little "dialing" the pressure and blade in to get smooth cutting results.
  22. Try cutting the file, without any weed options enabled. As for the having to reboot your computer when it freezes- you might be able to get around that by unplugging the USB cable. This may free up your SignBlazer, so you do not have to reboot the whole computer.
  23. Have you tried opening SignCut directly, without the shortcut through Illy?
  24. Probably the little plastic clips that secure the motherboard to the bottom panel snapped loose, and the MB is touching the bottom metal panel now. Might just need new clips- might need a new MB. Cheers!
