Okay, I have the Lazer Point 24. Have been using it for several months with a few problems but the same ones keep popping up and need to get them resolved. I need to cut some large wall decals and other larger files. It starts cutting and then I get the dreaded "waiting" message and everything locks up. I have read the whole topic list on the LP and still having problems. I bought the Keyspan Adapter after reading several topics about the USB/Serial connection debate. Can't get the dang thing to even communicate with the computer through that thing. I am throwing vinyl away by the yards!!! Any time I try to duplicate things into one large cut, it does the same thing. How do I know the limit of what I can send to this cutter and get the full cut? I am so frustrated. I am using either Sign Cut or Sign Blazer depending on which software will work on that day. I really need to step up production and this is getting impossible. I called for support and never got a call back. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks for the help. I have gone to cutting one at a time. Now, what do I ask for when I go to the computer store that will replace the usb port thing. I know it is a serial Port? Can somebody describe to me what it looks like or what I should ask for?

I am attempting to cut 4 copies of the same file. For some reason in both sign cut and Blazer, it cuts one copy and then the display board says it is waiting. It does not continue after waiting for a while Do I need to reset something??

another stupid question, How do I get the blade carrier out of the head? I took the big silver screw out and I thought it would swing open but it didn't and I don't want to force it.

how do I give it more blade? I am a newbie~

according to the instructions, I have set the pressure as high as it will go and cut the speed down as low as it will go. When I tried to cut it this time, it didn't feed through the cutter right and made a big mess. It did cut the first line of the tile just fine but when it went to cut the holes, it wadded up the vinyl. Any suggestions??

I want to cut a rhinestone template and the downforce is recommended at 250. Is that term the same as the pressure setting on the LP24?

Knucklehead, THANK YOU SO MUCH! That is what I was missing. Okay, now I did that and when I take it SB, it looks great on the first page but when I click on Cut, the text is gone. Where did it go and how do I fix it??? Please help!

Okay, I increased the size and finally got it to cut except......I had added text in Corel before I saved it as an .eps, it totally left off the text when it cut. Did I miss a step??

Needless to say I am new to Corel Draw X4 and am having a big problem. Once I design what I want to cut, I convert it to bitmap and then trace it with the detailed logo. Then I save it as an .svg file. When I try to import it into cutting software there is nothing there. It says there is nothing in the file. On some of them it works with the graphic but the text I add is gone or it is not cutting the centers out of like the b's. I need these pretty quick and am so confused. I have ordered the tutorial videos but do not have time to wait on these I am working on. Can anybody help me through this??

Okay, cut a couple of things now. I am wanting to cut a car decal. I did the design in Corel, exported it as .eps. Went to SB and imported it. It shows up fine and looks good but when I click on the cut button and it goes to the other screen, all I have is a funky looking square. The graphic is gone completely. Have shut everything totally down a couple of time and tried to redo it but I still get the same thing. As it changes to the cut screen it looks like there is another square of something on the first screen. Nothing in it, just the square like you had drawn a select square below the page. I can't get rid of it and don't have a clue what it is. I saw on another post here that it is bad to unplug your USB from the computer. What?!?!?!?!?! I run a bunch of different machines off this computer and cannot afford another one just to run the cutter. What is up with that?? I only have two USB ports and have read not to plug this into a port but I have to be able to switch the computer from one machine to another. I am totally lost at this point. Gave up earlier today, took a nap, got up and gave it another go and it worked fine on the first cut but after that, things went crazy. Can anybody hold my hand through this??? LOL

Okay, here we go with the questions. Got my first cut after several hours. Great Job even if it did take me forever to get to that point. Now I am trying to cut a larger decal. About 20" long. In Sign Blazer, when it goes to start cutting, the head hits the "emergency stop" button on the left side of the cutter. It halts everything and the display says it is waiting. I cannot seem to move the design once I am in the cut window of SB so how do I keep it from going over that far and stopping the machine. Second question, Tried the same design in Sign Cut. When I try to import the eps file, nothing shows up. It says it is reading the file but it goes quickly and then nothing shows on the screen. What am I missing in this program. Going to switch jobs to machine embroidery for a while, until one of you guys help a helpless old woman. LOL

I am from northern middle TN. North of Nashville. Little farming town where my name is now MUD. I sold the farm to a developer and my decent reputation has gone to the dogs. LOL After 40 years of hard work, little money and never ending days, losing my husband of 40 years also made me lose all desire for that life. It was a wonderful way to raise kids and live life as a family but pretty hard by yourself. I can now devote the creative juices to more fun things. LOL I can't wait to get started on this new endevor. Deb
