  1. im still waiting to talk to my friend but i have a feeling mz is right. thank you guys for your help. ill just go back to the way i was doing it prior.
  2. friend of mine had it on a computer he gave me. ill ask him where he got it from
  3. was just debating on actually grounding that wire to my wall outlet screw. but yes currently on stand and cutter
  4. yes just tried. i put it to 120mm/s starts doing stairs hit reset to avoid vinyl damage. then hit send and it puts a slice through design and cuts it. the head drops after i hit origin so its like the cutter thinks the head is still up when starting the cut.if close down prdouction manager and open up to send again it will operate properl first cut. or if i power down cutter. if not i will be doing stairs every other cut and the other ones will have slice from cutting head being down to start.
  5. nevermind 3rd cut stairs are back.
  6. yes and its been so long i forgot to change baud on the actual cutter. first two no steps thanks again
  7. no sends to printer but no cutting currently rebooting to see if that helps

  9. chose the one that was already in there on my serial pc (mh-871in flexi) and didnt add any at all from my original setup with SB laptop i installed one from us cutter site for the usb im assuming i need to have baud set on the driver panel as well.
  10. no its at 96? does it require with keyspan as well? trying now thank you so much
  11. been using my 871 for years now on SB and AI or INK ran across flexi 10 and love the program but over usb the cutter acts funny every other cut it wants to run from corner to corner. read alot of threads and they led me to believe it was usb error ordered a keyspan and hooked back up on serial until then first cut over serial. stairs across the vinyl!??? second cut actual design third stairs. ports setting from cutter and flexi match anyone have and suggestions otherwise ill be forced to use flexi and sb or scrap flexi and try to get a return

    Scrap booking progam

thank you everyone i will definetly look into all these programs you mentioned I really didnt think there was a special program or anything better sutied to use for my cutter than AI and Inkscape but hey you learn something every day. acording to my mother the guy that does her 12 by 12 cards does them very quick (custom designs) but i am under the assumption he already has profiles setup and layouts and all that fancy jazz where he can just add the text in or move around a few things here and there.. but beyond that she gave me her backer she uses for her cricut and i tried for over an hour to get it to cut through the card stock properly and adjusted my blade depth multiple times and cut pressure and speed and had no luck till i threw her cricut blade on my plotter?? any advice on setting up my cutter to do stuff for her

    Scrap booking progam

I have a Mh 871 and use it for alot of random stuff at one time i was cutting gaskets for friends out of gasket material but my mother is really heavy into scrap booking and swears up and down that the guy who cuts out paper stock designs uses a plotter and has a special program to make his designs and its super quick? anyone know of any such miracle program?
