If you are looking at it as a hobbyist you make your own machine. If you want to make money you buy one . I bought mine.

You must decide how large your items will be. Then how fast. Is it for mass production or single items? After that you can start thinking about which machine.

    Gerber Router Review

I started opposite most of you guys. First I bougthe a Techno Isel 48" x 96" CNC then I went into vinyl. As far as programing try V Carve Pro. Its not very expensive and not hard to learn. If you are using any of the big programs enroute, artcam, for example you'll go crazy trying to make a drawing. V Carve is sold by Vectric.com. Any questions i'll try to guide you.
  5. What blades are you using for the MH 721? Its time to et some new ones. Also what angle do you like best?
  6. I have just tow quick questions. I'm running on the serial cable, windows xp, winpc sign. What baud should I be sending at. The reason is that my mother board got a surge and went bad. I had a spare so i'm still in operation after changing it, I need the address to send the bad one back to for repair, if possible. Thanks.......

Stupid question or not so stupid?

i'm just so use to paper towels and toilet paper , I did it wrong. I saw a picture of the Copam and said to myself , " how do you put the vinyl on that machine", that is what triggered my question.

Stupid question or not so stupid?

You did read it right. I'm sure i've been doing it wrong but I want to confirm the answer.
  9. What is the correct placement of a roll of vinyl on a machine? Sit th erol on top of the rollers, or place a roller thru the roll and let it hang? It may be stupid and then again maybe not. What is the correct way? :-
  10. I can't seem to find out how to do vertical letters. My flexi won't cut correctly so I have to try winpc.

    Sign fabrication question

You're right there. What makes it tough is the guy wants to apply them himself. I figure if I let him and he messes it up, he will let me do it and i'll make 3 times as much on the job. His workers call him Einstine...............

    Sign fabrication question

Ok here is what I would like to do. The customer has given me a sign to do with lettering on top and overlaping a tri color piramid. I can make up all the components seperately . I want to place them all on a single piece of backing (release paper) and then transfer it to the vehicle, in one shot. Is there a release paper that I can purchase to do this, or will I need to place them on seperately?
