Oh I did not ever see these ideas about the pillow or mouse pad! Thanks so much, that makes a lot of sence and I will try it out!

Thank you guys so much for the help! I am going to try some Jiffy onsies now... I will try the tip about the paper on all 4 corners, I was wondering how I could tell if there was enough pressure. Thanks!!

So I've had success with adult size t-shirts finally! I've played around with the heat temperature (300 degrees) the pressure (medium) and the time (15 seconds) until I found something that worked. Now I am trying onsies and this is what happens: The backing of the vinyl shrivles up and leaves pieces on the onsies or nothing happens at all, except I have a nicely ironed onsie. It's almost as if the onsie is repelling the vinyl (I am using sieser easy weed). I have tried three different brands of onsies, before I wash them and after I wash them. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can try next?
-
Thanks! It was both! I don't know how I cut anything to begin with, with the loose blade. Thanks

Ok, it is probably my problem and not the blade itself... Every time I go to make a cut, I have to re-adjust my blade, is this common?

Thanks so much!!! I cannot wait to get my heat press machine! -
These are nice! I am drooling over a heat press machine, and only a couple sales away from getting it. What type of vinyl do you use?

Wow this is so cool! I would love to make something like that stand!

Wow, bet that was fun to weed! Very cool!

Work at home mom - new to the forum, needs advice for drifting?

Wow! You guys are awesome! I did everything you guys said and I have it down to where it is only off 1mm. I also haven't tried cutting anything longer than 2 feet yet either, so I might need to do a little more playing with it when I go to make a longer cut. Thanks for taking the time to explain things in a way that I could understand Cannot wait to work my way up in this business! I have my eye on their 15x15 heat press next...anybody have a preference between the clamshell and the digital swing arm? -
Work at home mom - new to the forum, needs advice for drifting?
bekbek324 posted a topic in Introductions
Just wanted to introduce myself and get me feet wet in the forum. I am a work at home mom with a small business making custom wood signs. I have been using the cricut for a year and have largely outgrown that piece of junk. After the Christmas rush I was able to upgrade to the MH-Series cutter (28in). I know, probably bottom of the line for most of you experienced cutters, but a major upgrade for me none-the-less! I was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers about drifting vinyl. I've already wasted about 5 yards of vinyl (which is a big deal considering I only order my vinyl 10-25 yards at a time). I am playing with the roller tightness, and just cannot seem to get it straight. Thanks for any input! Rebekah -
Just opened a small store -- plenty of sign jobs arriving through the front door
