  1. Not sure if this is against the rules but I have a Canon W6400 Wide Format Printer For Sale. It will print on Fabric, Vinyl & Paper. It is excellent for Printing Logos & Decals that you wish to contour cut. Material has to be Inkjet receptive - not your standard Avery vinyl. I have used this for customer Logos & it will print colours to rival anything on the market. Outdoor durability without lamination or UV coating is about 6 months. With Lamination or Frog Juice about 2-3 years. $2500. Located in Vancouver, BC area but can arrange shipping &/or delivery.
  2. Here's a trick that has helped me a lot to keep my long plots tracking straight. First always make sure your Pinch Rollers are clean. You will be amazed at how much crap comes off the vinyl. Next especially on 24 inch Rolls, make sure you unroll several feet before cutting to take the weight off the Rollers. Next Keep the Pinch Rollers in from the edge of your vinyl by about 1.5 in. if possible. Next Hit 'Scroll' & 'Enter' ( Machine measures Roll Width) Next hit 'Enter' again & then hold the v (arrow) button & the vinyl will feed towards you. If you see it skew, release the v button, while holding the vinyl in place, lift the pinch rollers, adjust for the skew & then feed the roll back ^ (arrow) Button. Make small adjustments to the skew as it makes a big difference over a long sheet. After a few tries you should be plotting nice & straight.

    Copam CP2500 Arrived!!

The assembly instructions are in the finest Chinglish. Best to lay everything out according to the diagrams & only read the instructions as a last resort.
  4. The Left Hand (When facing the control Panel) Pinch Roller on my machine is very difficult to slide along the track, almost like it isn't sitting properly in the track. Is there a way to check that it is seated properly & is there a way to add light oil to the track?/ Thanks, Glen

    Introducing MWAH!

Im actually outside Chilliwack but not too far.
  7. Also make sure you haven't inadvertently added an outline to your text or graphic. I have a tendency to do this in Corel Draw without noticing I have gently squeezed the mouse buttons.

    Help

Your problem could also be caused by the set up of your desktop. Make sure you work at a 100% size desktop. In other words if you want a sign area of 2ft x 1ft (or the equivalent in mm's) that it fits onto your 15 inch vinyl. Read the Vinyl width on the cutter scale & plug that into your Desktop work area size. This way if you are using Sign Blazer Elements it should always open up in the correct position & size for cutting.
  9. I had this happen before using another Plotter. It could possibly be that the voltage on your laptop battery is weak & doesn't have enough juice to carry all the information required to the Plotter.
  10. First make sure your roll of vinyl is wound fairly tight before placing it on the Roller Stand. Position the roll so it is very close to the position you are going to clamp. In other words make sure it looks llined up vertically. Next advance with the arrow keys a good portion of the vinyl & watch which way the sheet skews. Then adjust the position of your roll slightly & rewind by pushing the 'UP' arrow key. A couple of tries & you should be feeding pretty straight. Also it helps not to try & cut to the edges of your roll so you can move your Pinch Rollers in from the edge of your sheet.

    REALLY NEED HELP

What I would do is create a file in another program & then export it in a format that you can read. You may also want to try using the Sign Blazer Program to see if it cuts any better. I suspect you have a compatibility problem between the software & the Plotter.
