I think if you word that the deposit pays for materials up front, most people are ok with that. I know when I am asked to pay half up front for something, it never phases me, but then again, I am a small business owner and understand how it works.

Does anyone have a pricing calculator that they can post up that they are happy with overall and incorporates all the changes needed on this one? I'm looking for one as well, I always seem to underquote my jobs. I hate leaving money on the table.

10mm or 10 mil? 10mm is like 3/8" thick... And you keep saying the thicker stuff, 951. it's actually 2 mil, while the 651 is 2.5 mil. Correct?

So, I'm new to etching, obviously. When I put a design on a pint glass, it gets distorted. Not a ton, but enough to notice especially if it is text or a design that has a a straight horizontal line or if the design is horizontally based. I have attached an example. There is about 3/16 to a 1/4" difference in height off the lip from the middle to the edge of the design. Looks awful. How do people remedy this? Build opposite distortion into the design, and just guess at it till you get it right, or is there a formula for this? Thanks in advance!!

Yer better off buying one... do some research on silica lung settlement. It never leaves, settles in the bottom of your lungs... enuf can kill. Need a good contained cabinet with collection system.

So tried etching tonight for the fist time. Used a giant ScatBlaster with black oxide material, dialed back to about 50 psi. Used matte vinyl for mask, turned out very well i think.

This is 2 mil chrome too.... does not want to cut...
