  1. I've been using a Laser Point and Sign Blazer for alot of years and was thinking about upgrading to the Graphtec CE-6000 - 60. Just wondering it the Graphtec will work with SignBlazer. I'm too old (and stuborn) to learn new software at this point :-)
  2. I am currently using a 6 year old 24" LaserPoint that is a work horse - this thing just keeps going and going, but when it comes to small fine detal it's not the most accurate. I have been looking at upgrading for a LONG time and today I finally pulled the trigger. I jsut ordered a 28" Titan 2. One of the main reasons I decided on this unit was because of the reviews bo Banner John - I trust and respect him. I will try to keep everyone updated.

    SignBlazer and Titen 2

Anybody get SB to work with Titen 2 yet? I've been using SB for 5 years and really like it - would be a shame to have to recreate all my SB files.

This is the strangest thing - I've been using SB for about 6 years with no issues and then tonight I get the nag screen! I guess I will install it again and see what happens.

I'm using Win8.1 at first I hated it, then I installed the classic shell and now it works great --- It's a laptop - I don't need all those crappy Apps!!!! It also works great with SBE!!!!

    Titan 2

I've been using mine for about 2 months now and LOVE IT!!!! I'm still using SBE for design and cutting with no issues. I just do part time cutting on the weekends and I have already paid this machine off, and the time and labor it has saved me is fantastic!!!!! I love the fact that I can cut right from my laptop through USB - no need for a seperate computer with a serial conncetor. My poor old Laser Point has not been turned on since I got this thing. Did I mention that I LOVE THIS THING!!!!!!!

    Titan 2 Question

It's because of BannerJohn that I ordered mine! If he says he loves it it's gotta be a good machine! By the way BannerJohn - stop being so shy - tell us what you really think

    Titan 2 Question

I just got a Titan 2 a few weeks ago and LOVE IT!!! I upgraded from a 6 year old LaserPoint that had the same issues you are talking about. I managed to get it working with SignBlazer (which I love!) I have already made enough to pay for half of the Titan and I only do limited work on the weekends. the time I have saved in weeding has been tremendous and the face that it is a true USB connection is great. I'm running SignBlazer on Windows 8 and do everything from my laptop now - no need for a second computer with a serial connection. I say do it!!!! You will be so happy to have a real cutter.

    Pulled the trigger today

the first thing I did was install the USB drivers for the titen2 and tested it with SCALP - once I knew that was working I started playing with settings in SB and this was the combo I came up with that started cutting. Sometimes I'd rather be lucky them good

    Pulled the trigger today

Got my machine today - it is SOoooooooooooooo quiet!!!!! Only problem is - I wish I could get it to work with SignBlazer! I'm not a fan of SCALP. I did all my designing and cutting from SB for the last 5 years - I really don't want to have to convert all my files and learn someting new.

    Pulled the trigger today

I didn't get the $200 off, but tha's fine. I'm still waiting and checking the tracking info each day - getting excited - it's supposed to be here tomorrow, so guess what I'm doing this weekend.

    Tiling Problem

I use SB and an old Laser Point - I have tiled many times with no issues so I can't help you with that one --- I would be interested to find out what is causing it in case I ever do have a problem. Good luck.

How do you organize your vinyl scraps?

I save all my scraps till I have a bag full and then donate them to one of the schools in the area for their art department - Teachers love me!! :-)
  20. I did some of this in the past and I agree with jaybird's assesment. Consider checking with Uline for packaging,
  21. This is the the USCutter sales reps ----- I'm thinking about buying a Graphtec CE-6000-60 My question is - why buy from USCutter? SignWarehouse offers the same cutter (for the same price) with the stand. I know they charge more for shipping, but I'm sure if I talk to them they will match the shipping charges.

Question for the USCutter sales reps

You guys are correct - I missed where USC included the stand with the -60 so this entire post is not relevent, but thanks for all the great input.
  23. I'm ready to upgrade from my 6 year old LP. Not giving up my little workhosre - just looking for something that can do finer detail on the smaller stuff. I know there are a lot of die hard Graphtec and Roland users around here - I would like to have an objective view - if you were upgrading which would you get and why? Thanks for all your help - I hope to make a decission in the next week or two so I will be checking in when I can. By the way - I'm using SignBlazer software and don't want to change. One mroe thing - Roland has the upper edge right now due to lower blade cost.
  24. Been thinking about this for awhile Anyone out there using a rotary paper trimmer for trimming decals? Right now I normally use a 24" ruller and a rotary cutter for cutting and trimming - just seems that this would be quicker. Thanks in advance.

Question for the USCutter sales reps

Thanks for all the input - my main questions was concering the stand (not that I really need one) but SW throws in the stand for the same price as USC gets for just the cutter. I have ordered from both USC and SW with no problems from each so that is not the issue, and in the past if I call the rep from SW and push just a tiny bit they will match USC shipping costs, so that is not really an issue. I was just wondering if USC really wants my business will they make a deal to match the value of the SW offer - even if that offer is not a stand, but maybe in blades and quality vinyl (not GreenStar or what ever that stuff is) --- guess it's time to call a USC rep and ask. Once again, thanks for all the input.
