My printer is definitely doing better then it was but still not great. I printed some flyers for my wife's business and the color was weird on every other page. The head print checks still aren't 100% but I have not had time to work on it since the flyers. I did buy some black ink from Cobra and refilled that and the other colors. Then spent about two hours doing every recommended maintenance on it (head cleanings, alignment, cleaned the foam pad, waist pad, bleed the lines, reset the ink pad . . . anything I could find to do I did. As recommended by you guys I started on doing a ton of head cleanings but ran out of time that day (probably did 20). I should have time tomorrow to play with it more. If I print anything with a solid color there are lines that run through it, don't think they are in the multi color areas though.

The Graphtec GOLD series are very rare and desirable!

I need to find that thread I hijacked a while back regarding Cobra Ink Systems and give an update on my printer.

X2 on what Mz SKEETER said, she is wise.

Oh really, is your Mimaki giving you trouble? I don't have any experience with one but had thought of them to be high end machines. The detail you have cut out looks to be very good, better then my Laser Point cutter can do.

I think it looks pretty good. If it were me I would lose the mouse all together but that is just personal preference and not an educated advertising tip (I aint edumacated).

Not sure what it was called. I used my wife's iphone to do it. I don't have a scanner or google goggles on my Android

I finally scanned one of those things for the first time the other day. It was amazing, my head exploded and skittles rained from the skies. Just kidding, it took several attempts to scan and sent me to the manufacturers website . . .

I wish I had more buddies ha ha, hopefully my customers don't realize that I am a sucker for trades like the free dinner offer. Nice work and thanks for sharing.

Great work! It looks like you definitely have a good eye for this. Curious what cutter you are using, the small details on 4 of the shirts is impressive.

Question for the USCutter sales reps
sleeveofwizzard replied to SmallSigns's topic in Pre-sale questions
Black sheep here, my last purchase with Sign warehouse actually impressed me. I was contacted by a sales rep out of the blue one day so I ordered some vinyl remover, Teflon sheets and frog juice. The order showed up fast. Unfortunately the vinyl remover leaked in the package and ruined the Teflon sheets though. I emailed the rep that evening and she responded with a tracking number the next morning. She reshipped the entire order, no questions asked. She apologized repeatedly and said she would personally ensure my future orders would be shipped in a way to prevent this from happening again. I agree that it has always been cheaper to order from US Cutter mainly because of the $9 shipping. I have had neutral and negative experiences with USC but never been impressed. Recently I found a local supplier that I never knew existed. They are cheaper then everyone else and have amazing service. The killer part is that if I don't have time for the 10 minute drive they will deliver my order for $7 the same (morning order) or next day (afternoon). They do not carry removable wall vinyl though so I will continue to order Oracle 631 from US Cutter. -
My Workforce 1100 has gotten ink on spots on print materials as well. I used a ton of paper towels and soaked up all the ink that had collected in the foam strip at the bottom of the printer. There is also a foam pad under the ink cartridge home position. As per the maintenance recommendation of Cobra Ink it is necessary to also clean the under side of the print heads using a folded up wet paper towel. There is a how to video on his website about this and other maintenance procedures.

I don't know if I can help but if you upload what you have I and probably others will take a look at it.

Bad zenquick Banners
sleeveofwizzard replied to J.noise's topic in Criticism and Complaints about USCutter
Well I can confirm this! Good info to keep the two products straight though. I previously looked at the two as the basically the same thing. -
Nice find, I like to organize the list with the ending soonest option and sneak in on the items that no one bid on.

Bad zenquick Banners
sleeveofwizzard replied to J.noise's topic in Criticism and Complaints about USCutter
That is very strange or maybe Goof Off is different then Goo Gone? I had to remove a little bit of vinyl that I didn't install correctly on my last banner. After I removed the small piece of vinyl there was some adhesive residue left that I used Goof Off to remove. It seemed to eat away at the banner material a bit. I cleaned the spot with alcohol repeatedly but there was still a gummy spot on the banner. -
Thanks for the help guys, I had seen some on one of the vector image sites but the one I found was pretty pricey. I like the second one you found OWJones

I am in need of some robots. They need to be fun / cute looking, not the scary kind ha ha. This will be for wall art in a child's bedroom. I attached a low quality picture to give an idea of the style I am searching for. Thanks!

What I am saying is that there are companies that own these stores and cell Verizon service. Go WIreless, 4G Wireless, and so on. They are authorized to sell Verizon products and services but have to comply to their guidelines. So even if a person gets a letter from Go Wireless giving them permission to print a Verizon logo it might not mean diddly. Just wanted to put it out there in case the OP hadn't thought about it and can possible get a letter if he hasn't already.

Little something for my truck - What do you think?
sleeveofwizzard replied to dirttrackin280h's topic in Show your work
I like it even more with the top piece! If you try to get it all in one piece like you mentioned I would wet apply of course and just put the vinyl over the top of the emblem. Squeegee everything and do the emblem last. Us an exacto and cut the vinyl down the center of each line of the emblem. This will free up the vinyl and let you squeegee it around each letter. Once you get it in place use the knife to trim off the excess vinyl and tuck a little under the letters. Maybe someone has tried this before and can confirm?
