  1. At my wits end. I have a Roland CAMM 1-Pro CX-300 vinyl cutter (bought in 2001). I am using VinylMaster LTR 4.0 and have had very good luck with it for the past 3 years now. Running Windows 10 on a Dell laptop. For no reason that I can find, I started to get 'spooler not responding' errors. It only happened a couple times, and simply turning off and on the machine seemed to fix the issue. Now, all of a sudden, the error is all I get. I can work for literally hours turning the machine off and on, reloading the original software, using the software to 'detect' the cutter, which it says it does, still nothing. Then, for no reason whatsoever I'll click cut and suddenly it works! It will work fine until I stop for the day and shut down the machine/software. Then I'm starting all over again to try and get it running. I have worked with the techs at USCutter and nothing they have suggested works. Started looking for help at Roland and they say, "sorry, machine is too old and we don't support it technically any longer". Ugh. Now, I'm not sure if it truely is a software issue or something wrong with the cutter itself. I run the test function on the cutter itself and it works fine, but I don't believe it is testing the incoming data from the computer itself. I don't know how to test the machine to see where the problem lies, computer, software or the cutter itself. I really don't want to buy a new cutter because I am not a business, just a guy who does odd jobs for people. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

    Vinyl Master Won't Work

I have also re-installed the software, downloaded the driver, followed all the instructions, to the letter. Same results. Nothing cutting today.

    Vinyl Master Won't Work

Yes, 2 of them actually. I have continually worked with this issue over the last two days and minimal success. I have absolutely confirmed that the software is activated. I have gone through all of the setup processes that the software recommends. I can't tell you how many times I have turned off-on the machine to confirm that the software is connected. Yesterday, for whatever reason, it started to cut! Yea! Could not figure out why. I thought, great, I got it. Then, this morning, I turned on my laptop, and tried to cut another test piece, and NOTHING. No matter what I do, it will not get past the Vinyl Spooler screen. It just sits there and spins. I've walked through every, and I mean every option the software offers and everything it says indicates that it should be working. I'm at my wit's end. I need this to work. Any thoughts and/or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Yes, I have that on both machines.
  5. First, I am not a business, just a guy who helps friends/family by cutting vinyl. I have been running VinylMaster on a HP desktop for several years now and because of general computer issues, I am switching to a DELL laptop. I also use a Roland CX-300 vinyl cutter. I put the VinylMaster software on the new Dell laptop, deactivated the software on the old machine (have only one license). Walked through all the setup stuff for the software and adding the Roland drivers to the software. Can not cut. I keep getting "Vinyl spooler not responding". Walked through all the setup stuff again and according to the software, the device is detected and ready to cut. Nothing. Same error message. So I could at least keep working, I deactivated software on the new machine and reactivated the software on the old machine and now, neither one of them will send a cut to the cutter. Can not figure out what I am doing wrong. Put new cables on, tried removing software, then re-introducing, but nothing works. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you.
