What is your question? Are you asking for someone here to provide a local-to-you sign shop referral? I find it hard to believe that you're unable to find a sign guy in New York City! Or perhaps your question is -- "I want to buy a cutter and create my own designs & produce decals in-house. What vinyl is good for putting onto walls?" We'll be right here, get back to us about your true aim.

    Beginner Question

If you are ordering some vinyl get a yard of 751 or even 951 and try it. That stuff is super smooth and might be easier to weed. I usually use high end cast vinyl when I do teeny tiny. 1/8" aren't much fun on any cutter let alone a budget model.

    "Show print tiling"

When you say the minus won't do it what do you mean? Having trouble with the operation or it still showing the pink? Make sure the one rectangle is slightly larger and stack another slightly smaller on top, be sure both are selected and use the minus front.

    "Show print tiling"

One more question.... When sublimating coffee mugs, I need a rectangle at times for a guide. If I draw a white rectangle and add stroke, the white "fill" area always leaves a slight pinkish box. I've made it true white and even turned fill off, nothing stops it. I tried to do a minus back using two rectangles, but it won't do it. I can have the exact desired frame in 6 seconds using Scalp. Not sure what I'm missing. Clipping mask won't work either.

sublimation ink colors look different until heated - if using the sawgrass inks did you download the power drivers for the right profiles? PS if you sign up for an account you will not have to wait for your post to be approved - it weeds out the spammers they way the forum is set up now

I am designing on VinylMasterCut V4.1 and using sawgrass SG800 to print out my design. When I print it out I don't get the color that shows up on the screen. Is it because this version doesn't have RIP?? PLEASE HELP

    Tattoo vinyl?

So I have an interesting request for temporary tattoo stencils. From what research I've done, I've only found printable tattoo paper, which I already have, but not how the customer wants to use it. Can anyone recommend a vinyl and app tape that I can use so that I can cut the stencil, and the vinyl can be applied to the skin? I don't need it to be reusable, "one and done" is fine. This is how they would like to use it, but create their own design. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076J79N66/ref=cm_sw_r_oth_api_i_PFPRDbX3HTPBR Any thoughts?
  16. Give it a try you aren't out much if you buy a small order to test. I recommend a heat press first though. You'll be surprised the difference just that makes. I do mostly cut vinyl on smaller volumes. Cut vinyl is so much more vibrant than printed transfers and lasts longer than about anything. It requires a cutter, some design skills and of course a heat press but it's been a great revenue stream.

new prismcut plotter announced by uscutter

Jet aircraft are quieter than MH's. lol
  19. do you have other software that you can do the layout in? and have you tried that?
  20. I converted the single image file to .eps and tried it again with no success. I'm just going to have to print smaller lengths and toy with margins to make it work for now until i can get software that can handle larger prints.

Who is your GOTO for Shirts

I do love the Port and Company.

Who is your GOTO for Shirts

But it is hard to beat sanmars own port and company shirts for feel and durability. if a customer feels they are getting a quality product they keep coming back for years - if they feel a product is inferior they find somewhere else the next time. Part of the reason we don't buy shirts in cruise ports anymore - they are cheap and it is apparent.

Who is your GOTO for Shirts

They have great shirt prices. However if you are ordering under $200 (I think last time I checked), shipping is expensive.

being a stepper motor I wouldn't think it would be super quiet but usually the higher end stepper motor cutters with finer resolution are not as noisy as the cheaper units. will be curious to see how many select this for the wireless over the servo motor titan2,3 etc

    InkOwl Sublimation Ink

We've only tested it with genuine Sawgrass inks, so if you do want to go that route of finding an alternative, you'll be in uncharted waters, so to speak. i'm not sure where you would be able to get tech support if something goes wrong. And yes, as Dakota says, if you are willing to take the risk of damaging your printer or rendering it inoperable, then you are free to make that decision.

    InkOwl Sublimation Ink

worse thing that happens is you throw away an expensive printer on an experiment - guess it depends on how much you do - my sawgrass ricoh printer sits for months unused and never has problems so it is worth it to me to know it is always ready to rock and roll when called into action.

I know it will kill the warranty, I am trying to use a good alternative.
