Just learning the ins and outs of CorelDraw. Basic Logo design. What do you guys think?

Coreldraw. I figured out the text problem. I need to convert to curves before saving as .svg. I also just recreated the logo. Was super easy and the font was futura medium. Thanks again for the help everyone!

I just was trying to get a head start before he emailed back. I guess just learning how to in the future if someone comes with a crappy jpeg. Im also having issues saving text as .SVG and importing it into SCALP. Any tricks I should know? Thanks folks I really appreciate it.

I tried quick trace and logo trace under the bitmap drop down. I got it off their facebook site. I asked him to send me a higher res file hopefully he just does that.

So I have looked at some online tutorials to help with a low res jpeg. Im trying to cut stickers for this company and the logo I have got is not tracing well even when I resample the Jpeg. Any Ideas on how to convert this?

I just ordered some wall vinyl and application fluid on monday and received it today (Wednesday). I know im only a state below, but im impressed! Thanks guys.

This picture for example. If I were to import the jpeg and turn it to a vector where would I go from there to break it into layers?

Hi folks. I just bought a starter package with a LaserPoint II. I picked up CorelDraw as well and am learning and working out the bugs on my setup. I had a roomate a while back that did vinyl work and thought it would be a fun hobby, and maybe turn into a small business I could do on the side. I work graveyards and am at home with the kids during the day so I have spare time to try to generate a little income.

Thanks! I will connect it with the serial connector instead of usb and see if that helps. Yesterday I was cutting a design and it traced the design 4 times literally cutting it out. Not sure if the bugs are because im using the USB connection.

So I have watched the Youtube videos on how to layer the vinyl once its cut, but I cant find any thing on the forum or Youtube as to how to do it from the beginning starting with coreldraw. Any steps or videos out there that can help me out. If im importing a jpeg or designing something on my own I just cant figure out the best way to send each layer to sure cuts. Hopefully this question makes sense.

The roller wheels on my laserpoint II seem to leave imprints on the vinyl as they roll the vinyl back and forth while cutting. Should I try to adjust the springs on them to fix the issue? Also sometimes while cutting the blade doesnt go back in the up position when going back to its home spot, and just puts a line through the design it just cut. Doesnt happen often, but has a few times. Any help or input would be much appreciated! Thanks.
