    Cutting speed

I agree with Bill and I might also add that using a 60' blade and a intermediate vinyl like Oracal 651 give me the best results.

    Metric ?

Atu Cut is a great program, its draw back for most users in the States is beind based on the metric system. That is one reason I use Corel Draw, a easy work around is to draw a box the correct size of the final item you want ay a 4 inch square logo, draw a 106mm*106mm box then work inside that border. If you have a spreadsheet program you can quickly make a cheat sheet of metric to english conversions.. Garry

Cutting from Corel to a MH721

houseofvinylanddesign One thing I forgot to put in my post, is that in Corel anything that is not a TTF font needs a hairline out line. I just select all and add the hairline. If I contour test or a graphic, i.e. two colors I separate each color on its on layer then using object manager print each color separately. If you would like you can email me at gah@prairieweb.com, put "vinyl cutting with corel" in the subject and I will try and get you cutting. Best Regards Garry

    Abode Illustrator to ArtCut

I think you would be better, depending which cutter you are using to cut directly from illustrator sometimes converting a file and importing it things just don?t work correctly. You can try a Roland driver and pages 6 and 7 of this PDF link it should get you going in the right direction. http://www.ssksupport.com/Equipment/DT60/Cut_Setup_for_Adobe_Illustrator_CS2.pdf I have a MH721 and cut directly from CorelDraw 11 with no problems. Good Luck Garry
  7. Shadowfox, If you are using artcut then you must remove any printer/cutter drivers that are on the same com port. You can look for any driver that is XX1351 and that should work. Your windows com port has to have the configuration and the driver configuration. You can try this web page: http://www.signsupplystore.com/ProductCart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=0&idproduct=12420 It has good information that can help answer any questions you may have along with information on setting up drivers to work with programs such as CorelDraw, and Adobe Illustrator. There is also links for cutters there also, you should be able to download Roland drivers from this link I any of the PNC drivers should have the driver you are looking for. http://www.rolanddga.com/color/support/wizard/default.asp Good luck Garry
