Help need on a cutter

Recommended Posts

I want to purchase a vinyl cutter to make small logo's and possible signs for family member's businesses. I don't have a lot of room where my computer is and also don't want to spend too much. So I am looking at the the "MH Vinyl Cutter 12" or 25". I don't really need a 25", but i noticed all the rolls of vinyl are 24" wide.

Is there a plus to get the 25"?? Also, can you use the 25" without a stand??

Yes, most vinyl rolls are 15" or 24" widths, but when using a table top unit without a stand with media rollers, you have no place to put the roll anyhow, so the majority just cuts a sheet off of the roll for the particular job you are going to cut. The advantage of the 25" is the stand with media rollers, and the extra width for larger projects. If what you will be doing will never require more than 12" in width, just go with the MH365 12". The amount of space you have also plays a factor in your decision.

It is not difficult to cut a sheet of vinyl off of the roll, no.

Yes, you can use the 25" without the stand if you want to.

You cut a sheet off of the roll with some scissors. You need a specific machine to cut a roll down I believe.
