RegisG 0 Posted October 29, 2008 Does anyone have experience with iclipart.com? My daughter found one image there that she likes and I "wonder" if their .eps file are of good quality for cutting. Subscription is $29/year which is ok if I end up with 10+ quality images. Experience/Opinions please. Thank you, Regis
JoeCamaro 11 Posted October 29, 2008 I dont know about iclipart, but when I read clip art I dont think of it as cutter ready. most of whats know as clip art requires to be worked out. Sometimes it is easy, just a few tweaks a weld and a punch and its ok, other times it is harder than that. I try to stay away from clip art and go for vector images. JoeCamaro 11 Posted October 29, 2008 Yeah, cliparts are provided as .eps, but still sometimes they will need to be worked. I was once a member of a clip art site and they had: Black and white clip art Color Clip Art Animation Clip art Vinyl Ready Clip art What I mean is that not only cuz it is an .eps it means it is cutter ready. How good are you simplifying colors, punching and welding?
Benr98 40 Posted October 29, 2008 Regis, I haven't used that..but if your daughter ever sees an image here she likes: http://www.expressclipart.com/ those are great cuttable files. They are $4.95 each I believe, but depending on the job..you can add that in..and it's yours for free! Plus you always have the file.
