smithmog 0 Posted June 9, 2007 Hello, Just got my new 52" US Cutter MH1351 Do I have to use 52" vinyl or can I use smaller rolls for smaller signs? Where can I buy rolls of vinyl? This came with signcut X2 is this the best signmaking software? or is there something better? All comments and/or advice would be appreiciated Thanks Gary
rrc62 0 Posted June 9, 2007 It's a friction feed machine so you can use any width vinyl you want. I just cut some text out of 3" wide piece of scrap. As for software, there is lots better, but better is always more expensive. SignCut and Corel will get the job done. With a plugin, you can cut right from Corel without using SignCut. I think this is the best solution for the money. Flexi is real nice, but it also hidiously expensive. Ross
kenimes 42 Posted June 11, 2007 You can get Flexi Starter8 for around $
TaterNuts 3 Posted June 12, 2007 Advice? Your 52 inch machine is probably going to just get in your way... Most sign shops only stock vinyl in like 24 inch widths... You can buy bigger, but its more expensive. And transfer tape that wide? I dont even think anyone makes it, but i could be wrong... The 24 inch machine would of been probably big enough...... And SignCut 2 the best sign making software? ROFLMAO I dont know who said that... Got to be a gimmick... I think that call it SignCut x2 becuase you have to cut everything twice to get it right... Just kidding... Get WinPCSign... or Flexi...
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted June 12, 2007 I buy my application tape in 48 inch width. They cut it down for me for free. I suppose I could just get it not cut,but I can't imagine just one person being able to handle anything that big.
