I can't get anything to cut?

Recommended Posts

I just got my pcut 630 last week and I cant get it to cut at all.

I set it up as discribed from uscutters rate is 9600 com port is #4.

It will cut the test square just fine selecting off line and then pause.

with it in the online selection using signblazer I have tryed several times to cut different thing from plain text to graphics from the provided clipart.

When I click cutter then cut tile all seems good it is sending to cutter and cutter is displaying eather online or waiting.

but when computer is finished sending cutter never does anything?

I am connected by a 16 foot USB cable

what am I doing wrong?

For the top selection- try the Creation PCut CTE630 HPGL. Press the reset button ont he cutter itself, and when it says Online, try to cut again.

I made those changes as discribed.

as soon as I clicked cut tile the cutter head moves to the far left hitting the little reset button and displays waiting and does nothing else??

Are you telling it to cut something wider than the actual width of the cutter?

Is your origin set on the right or left side of the machine?

I have tryed to cut several things but all have only been like 4 inches in size.

The orgin is to the left as you look at the cutter from the front

When your standing in front of the cutter, make sure the "head" is at the far right by taking it off-line, push the arrow button to the right, hit the center button to re-set the "home" position, and put it back on-line.

Yes, the cutter cuts from right to left, so you want to start the cutting head on the right side of your material, not the left side.
