problem with image when sent to cutter

got my machine (p630) up and going.. it cuts text fine, but i drew a large "X" with the square tool and rotated to proper angle. looks great on the drawing screen, but as soon as i press "cutter" the image to be cut is not lined up (as a "X") at all.. just random lines!?!? please help

Can you post the actual file with the "X" you're talking about?

If you drew 2 narrow rectangles, and angled them and crossed them over one another, it will cut them both individually and you won't get an "X" when it's all said and done. You'll get 2 narro rectangles all chewed up a bit because it intersects one another and doesn't outline them, but rather runs right through each other.  You would have to weld it.  Look at it in wireframe mode and you should see what I'm talking about.

I'm assuming this is what you're talking about with what info you included.  The X on the left was NOT welded, where the one on the right was.  I'm just guessing now though, without knowing more.  If you give more info, we can give more help
