Fat A 0 Posted September 8, 2008 Hi, it's me again- I just received brand new PCut, and am trying to setting up communications between my Mac and Pcut using USB. I am following the manual (provided by UScutter) carefully - but after connecting USB cable, a "found new hardware" screen doesn't pop up. I put the blue "Creation CD" into the Mac, but it doesn't start anything either. What should I do from this point?? This may be a real stupid question - but gush, I am real new to this kinda products. Does anyone know how to solve? Thanks@
kenimes 42 Posted September 8, 2008 Blue Creation disk only has Windows drivers on it, so do not try to load it. Macs will not give you a New Hardware Wizard- those are for Windows platforms as well. You need the USB driver from here: http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm
Fat A 0 Posted September 8, 2008 Hey Ken- Thanks! So, you mean that I don't have to download the blue Creation CD?? What else should I do to set up the machine?? Is there any manual for Mac users??
venice_d 0 Posted September 8, 2008 All you need to do is install the drivers that ken posted above, and set the cutter settings in your cutting application. I assume you will be using signcutx2 if you're on a mac? I made a note of all the signcut cutter settings for my pcut in a thread called "mac system profiles"
