Need help "welding" a vector image

Now that I know what it's called I guess I can ask the right questions. Can some help me weld this image so it will be cut ready? It's really fragmented and in SignCut it cuts out so many little sections. I appreciate anyone's help!

Illustrator is at my shop along with any program that will open your file. But If I remeber right you go under pathfinder and then click on merge.
