Guest TracMatt Posted August 18, 2008 I just recently (last couple of weeks or so) started to workout jogging and lifting weights again. I am in dire need of good workout music that really gets you pumped up. I need a lot of motivation after having a back fusion in 2007. It was a year Aug. 17th and it has been one of the hardest years of my life physically. I am at a point where I think I'm as good as I'm going to get healing wise. I think the rest is up to me. So what do you got for me? I like upbeat music that makes you want to fight hard to get what you want, besides the obvious like AC/DC and those. Thanks for any suggestions! ralais 0 Posted August 18, 2008 I got nothing on those playlists already posted... they covered about everything. My ipod has a little of all genres (sp) for working out... although lately I don't listen to anything since I've been working out @ home with the wii fit & ps3 eye toy. With those you have to listen & follow directions.

Tracee Tracee that's exactly what I do.... I grab the ipod & hit the treadmill. Great music makes a difference! Be careful with the weights, don't over do it. I've had back problems since I was 12 (bad accident), now at 42 - my back is the best it will ever be.

Guest TracMatt Posted August 19, 2008 You guys are too funny! I got some great songs off here from you all and I really appreciate it and so does my body. I just doesn't move without music. Joe you look like you must workout and the video is pretty good if you turn down the sound , JK of course I also make/force myself to do it every single day. Once I get into it I'm always glad I started. Excercising that is LOL. I mean that could be for other things as well without the forcing part I can't wait to hit frostwire and get busy jogging and lifting. I only lift 15 several times, for toning not big bulges! Benr98 40 Posted August 19, 2008 LOL Kenya, I agree some nights it DOES feel like a dreadmill...LOL...I never thought of calling it that...but I LOVE IT girl!!! haumana 1,220 Posted August 19, 2008 I have a dreadmill too. At first I was all gung-ho. Then when I would check the approximate calories burned while I was on it ... it just seemed like a huge waste of time. Since we've moved, it has been blocked in the designated "workout" room (the itty-bitty room in the basement). There's is next to no incentive to unblock it ... until I either install a tv in the workout room (which will probably then turn into a tv room) or a decent stereo. I've tried to do stuff with my ipod, but I'm usually less inclined to clip it to myself, or the head wires just keep on getting in my say. I love my music ... old school, new school and just about everything in between. The perfect workout music for me is either one that keeps a good beat, or one that is somewhat (mildly) inspiring or fun to listen to ... or a combination of both. If I had to choose between a tv or a stereo, I'd definitely go stereo. Someone once told me that he considered a tv "the dumb box." You sit, watch, and your brain cells slowly die off While I may not kill brain cells when I watch tv, I am less inclined to do anything productive
Benr98 40 Posted August 19, 2008 Haumana, I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels after a walk that I should have burned WAY more calories than what it's showing! Now if you walk a mile on the dreadmill or a mile walking outside or at the mall....I feel your body works harder on the dreadmill, but that's just my thoughts on it. There is more resistance on the mill. Have to have upbeat music to keep me from shutting it off...
