What works for creating graphics to use with sign blazer?

Recommended Posts

I'm just getting into the graphics thing and I'm having trouble figuring out how to make the graphics that I want. I really can't afford Illustrator, Flexi, Corel etc.

Currently I have Corel paint shop pro X2, Photoshop Elements 5.0, Inkscape and a few others. I'd really like to be able to create my own graphics and cut it out on my 24" cutter. What can I use that will do vector graphics that I can export to SB?

I really don't know why I'm having such a mental block with this!

Any help would be appreciated.

Inkscape will work. Just export as .eps then import to signblazer.

I just open pictures in photoshop and save them as a bmp or jpg at 600 dpi then import that into SBE and then monochrome it and vector it there

A good way to learn all the features of Inkscape:

Go to youtube, do a search for "Inkscape". Follow along/draw the same thing the person in the video is drawing, using the pause button on the video so you don't miss any steps.
