RegisG 0 Posted July 26, 2008 If I airbrush some gradients on a sign along with vinyl letters what paint should I use? The 651 vinyl is good outdoors for several (up to 6) years so the paint has to also hold up. Is there a satifactory water-based paint? Do you UV clear coat the whole sign? Thanks, Regis
slopchops 1 Posted July 26, 2008 This gets tricky. If you ask your supplier for enamel receptive vinyl, they have it. Other wise you will have to use a vinyl ink and it stinks to high heaven and gets expensive. You can buy a package of enamel one-shot primary colors on Ebay reasonable. I have never used the water based paints for this.
