runtime error

Hi

I am not new to cutters.  Had Rolands and Graphtecs in the past.  I still have a small Roland.......retired....missed it.

Anyway, I just bought and set up a creative Pcut 24'

Everything seems to be hooked up and installed.

I am using a laptop with Vista

USB

I am using the Flexi starter that came in the box.  I have Flexi 7 if I need to use it ...usually just use it for the production manager.

When I hit cut, it loads and says cutting 0%....then I get the error box that says runtime error,.

I ran a registry fix and rebooted, but it still does it.

Help please.

Maybe it is not configured for the right port?

You can try cleaning your machine and defragmenting the hard drive. Beyond that I won't venture after getting slammed on this site and being correct.

Thank you, guys.  Ken called me last night and walked me through the problem which was, indeed the port.  Of course, it was all messed up again when I restarted it, but at least now I know how to fix it.
