signs20 0 Posted June 28, 2008 Hey...I've been trying to cut mylar stencils with the pcut and it does cut great with a 60 degree blade..Ive been putting transfer tape on the back of the mylar before running it through the machine...is there any other material I can use instead of transfer tape to hold it together for the cutting process?? When it comes time to weed it and peel off the transfer tape I end up tearing the stencil because the transfer tape is VERY tacky...is there a low tac material i can use?? Thanks, Jenn
Islandsigncompany 0 Posted July 16, 2008 I just talked to sign warehouse they recommend AP-AT60-12 for the application tape. I have ordered and will follow up when I see how it works. I also use ez cut from www.pjstencils.com . I used this with my burner and it cuts much better. If you find any other information please share. I am looking for graphics to add now. Do you know any good programs. My signs range from country to beach. A lot of the programs out there seem to be auto related. Thanks, Shawn www.islandsigncompany.com
Popeye 0 Posted July 16, 2008 When I first started cutting templates from card stock I had good luck using a low tack spray adhesive. I would spray a piece of card stock and stick another piece to it. Came apart fairly easy and held together well while cutting.
