onyxwear 0 Posted April 17, 2007 Seeing how this is the first job that I will be doing, I figured I should ask the pros for suggestions before I get started. I will be doing some window graphics for an appliance store that will consist of a 7" red boarder with 5" white lettering. My question is should a cut a solid 7" red band and place the white letters on top, or should a cut out the letters from the red band and place the white letters in the cut outs. Please excuse me if I am not using the correct terminology, I am new to the sign making business and any help or suggestions you have would be appreciated. Thanks, Todd
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted April 17, 2007 If it was me,I would either place the white letters on the solid red,or cut the letters as a negative out of the red and place it over a white background. No way would I try to place the letters into the cut-out are in the red. But I'm old and my hands shake.
