Graphtec CE7000-40 shipped with euro power cord

I have gone through the channels one normally would but it appears support from Graphtec is spotty. I don't have a problem buying a new cord for this thing if thats all it will take to get it running. The description says "Power source: 100 to 120, 200 to 240 V AC (Auto switch), 50 / 60 Hz" but I don't want to fry anything with the wrong power supply. Does anyone know if the "auto switch" means I can buy the correct power cord and be good to go?

How many pins are on the plug?  A Euro plug only has 2 pins,  No earth.    Look it up.    You should be able to contact UScutter.  The cutter is sold there.

I didn't buy it from UScutter they were out of stock. I am in the states. I guess my question would be is this a 240 v machine or can I just swap the cord and it will automatically switch to 120.

it is a little frustrating. This thing wasn't cheap and I have yet to do more than unbox it. It looks good sitting on my desk but at this point it is a very expensive paperweight. This replaced a Graphtec ce-50 lite that developed a problem. I reached out to Graphtec with my issues and received no reply then either. To be fair the seller was right there when I called and started a claim ticket. I am a little soured on Graphtec as they are unable to reply to a very basic question to a consumer of their product.

Is it possible that the seller ordered the wrong product?  Why isn't your seller exchanging it for you?  You bought it from the seller, they should be making it right for you.  Was it a Graphtec authorized dealer? Or someone just selling some Graphtecs?

it is. I don't want to post the company as I do not want to leave a negative impression for them on the inter webs. I will give it a few more days and reach out to them again. To be certain I lay the lack of response on Graphtec and not the original seller. I have reached out to Graphtec twice with this cutter and once before with my other cutter. The company I ordered from submitted a claim ticket. Not a peep from Graphtec. I did get the impression this was drop shipped but do not know that for sure.

I also called Graphtec and got the you need to file a claim before you can talk to a rep reply. Wishing I would have ponied up for a Roland

nothing wrong with graphtec - sounds like a dealer issue and hope it is a legitimate dealer or warranty might not be in effect

This is interesting.  I checked the Graphtec UK site,  CE7000-60  Which is for UK and Ireland.  That cutter plug has 3 pins,  a UK power lead.  and does not say auto switch.   So that power cord is not for that machine in the UK.    The spec data sheet, lists the same power source numbers, but no auto switch..

So this morning a woke up with an email from Graphtec CS. He apologized and said he meant to send an email but did not include my email address. The rep asked for the serial number and my address and said he would have the proper cord shipped, and if I was in a hurry any PC power cord would work.

Of course it did.

You could have also bought a cheap plug adapter. (approx. $3)
