LakesideSandi 2 Posted February 16, 2021 I'm using a Laserpoint 3 cutter with VinylMaster V4.2 on EasySubli HTV. I cannot get it to read the registration marks! I have it lined up as best as I can and had it once but the paper was too short!
MZ SKEETER 4,708 Posted February 16, 2021 You need plenty of room, put your paper on a carrier mat. Example. They come in different sizes. Have heard you can purchase a Cricut carrier mat at Walmart, Michaels. https://www.uscutter.com/Large-A4-Vinyl-Cutter-Carrier-Sheet-Cutting-Mat

MZ SKEETER 4,708 Posted February 16, 2021 We don't know what you are doing. Here is video from UScutter. I don't know of 1 person who has that cutter. If this doesn't help contact UScutter tech support. We are just volunteer users here. https://support.uscutter.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037576032-LaserPoint3-Contour-Cutting-Video
LakesideSandi 2 Posted February 16, 2021 I've watched every video there is available. Not one shows me how to line up the cutter blade exactly so the laser reads it. I do not know what I could be doing wrong! I have even used the arrows and moved the blade to every mark to make sure it was lined up correctly and it still does not work. Any other ideas? MZ SKEETER 4,708 Posted February 16, 2021 Around 3:20 on the video, put the laser, (not the blade) over the 1st lower corner of the registration mark. The laser is in the carriage head.
bikemike 711 Posted February 16, 2021 Does the laser on the lp3 actually read the marks or is it just to line it up?
MZ SKEETER 4,708 Posted February 16, 2021 That cutter has ARMS Laser pointer 3 They do read the registration marks. Watch the video at 3:
LakesideSandi 2 Posted February 16, 2021 So after many tries and much swearing I figured out that I had to manually darken the registration marks with a black pen and set the blade just inside the marks. Thank you for answering my question and trying to help. Much appreciated!
