NicNak 0 Posted December 11, 2020 I have a hand written recipe that my grandma gave me. I would like to etch it into a Pyrex dish for my mom. I do not know how to remove the background and just keep the writing. Can anyone provide some instruction on how to remove the background?
darcshadow 1,625 Posted December 11, 2020 Looks like the background is mostly gone already. Pick your fav. image editing app and just delete what you don't want. Converting that to a vector and cutting in vinyl is not going to be easy, or come out well, I'd suggest a laser. Using some tracking paper and getting a better image to start with might be a good idea too. A slightly thicker pin line wouldn't hurt either.
slice&dice 2,450 Posted December 12, 2020 How about just using a similar script font and be done with it? It'll end up being more readable and clear.

Because it is grandmas writing . . . I get why they want to do it in her handwriting
jmas 119 Posted December 12, 2020 It actually traces pretty well. Give it an hour of editing and it'd look pretty good recipe.eps
Grawel 0 Posted December 13, 2020 Hi mfatty500, I just removed the background from the picture of your grandma recipe she has written by her own hand.
