jhon 0 Posted October 19, 2020 hello, unintentionally I hit the cable of my plotter and ended up breaking the cable. I would like to weld it again, but I don't know the pinout used. would anyone have the pinout model? (plotter graphtec ce 5000/60)
darcshadow 1,625 Posted October 19, 2020 I can't say for sure, but it is most likely a Null Modem cable, 9pin to 25pin. What pins is that green wire connected to? It looks like pins 1 and 7? If so, that's not a normal null modem cable and hopefully someone that actually knows what the cable is will come along soon. Does that model not have a USB port? jhon 0 Posted October 19, 2020 if I redo the pinout as you said (null modem cable) will it work? this model has usb output, but I was never able to use it on usb
darcshadow 1,625 Posted October 20, 2020 Will it work? No idea. As I said, just a guess that it is a null modem cable. You can give it a try. I don't believe there is danger of frying something by wiring the cable up as a null modem. Again, I don't know anything about this plotter, but my understanding from reading on here is the USB on Graphtecs works quite well and is the preferred option for most. Why were you never able to use it?
jhon 0 Posted October 22, 2020 the computer does not recognize the plotter. I've reinstalled the drive but to no avail.

MZ SKEETER 4,708 Posted October 22, 2020 Try a different cutting software. Signblazer is free use the setup exe download Try the Copam CP-2500 model Command HP-GL http://www.uscuttersupport.com/downloads/Software/SignBlazer/ On Windows 10 does the driver show up in Printers for the Graphtec Ce5000? You could also try a trial of VinylMaster Demo And see if you can at least connect to USB https://vinylmaster.software/ Free demo
darcshadow 1,625 Posted October 23, 2020 I'm not a graphtec user, don't they have their own software? Will the ce5000 work with that?
