Greenham 3 Posted October 9, 2020 Is there a setting that can help prevent these SUPER TINY tabs that prevent the corners from fully connecting intersecting cuts (I'm not explaining this very well) but I seem to often end up with these micro pieces that make weeding AGGRAVATING. MZ SKEETER 4,708 Posted October 9, 2020 show some pictures..if you can. First you must start with getting your blade depth set correctly, Sign vinyl is only about 2.5-3mil, so you only cut with the very tip of the blade. Setting the blade depth correctly determines your force, Then you move on to blade offset. starting with 0.25mm, adjusting 0.05 plus or minus until your squares have square corners, After that you could add a little overcut in your cutting software. This is correct way to set your blade depth. To start with, you should set your blade depth correctly, by taking the blade holder out of the machine, and in your hand, firmly cut across a piece of scrap vinyl, you will be cutting. You should only be cutting the vinyl and barely a mark on wax paper backing, Adjust blade to get there, Then put the blade holder back in machine, and use the force of the machine to get there, same results, only cutting the vinyl and barely a mark in wax paper backing. You should just barely see and feel your blade tip out of the blade holder.
haumana 1,220 Posted October 9, 2020 Blade adjustment, then blade offset. It would also help us a little if you let us know the machine you're cutting on, and possibly if you're working on a design or text.
