ARMS issue laser point 3 with vinyl master cut.

Recommended Posts

I’ll try to describe my issue the best I can. I printed out my design on a large format printer. This was done through the vinyl master software so I could add the registration marks and make the cut lines. When I go to cut here is the sequence of events. I load my media into the cutter (laser point 3). I go to the cut screen and make sure ARMS is selected. I set my origin and click cut. The cutter says locating registration marks and starts finding them. It locates three of the four, but when it goes to the fourth one it stops halfway there and starts looking for it, but since it isn’t there it can’t find it and just cancels the job. Does anyone know why it wouldn’t be going all the way to the last mark? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Have you watched the video that UScutter has out on contour cutting with the Laserpointer 3?  Did you calibrate the ARMS first?   I don't have this cutter, was just watching the video for this.   If that doesn't work, contact tech support at UScutter.

I’m going to have to contact them, I’ve watched the video and tried to do all the calibration things. It won’t allow me to do those either. The whole thing crashed in the middle of calibration and I had to completely reinstall the drivers to get it to work again lol. But I can cut all the vinyl I want and it’s perfect. Just no contour cutting or ARMS.  Thank you for the reply.

If running on USB, value cutters have a better connection on a serial cable or a Tripp-Lite Keyspan Adapter with the null modem cable that came with the cutter.   That is the brand name Tripp-Lite Keyspan Adapter. Your welcome:D
