My 5 in 1 heat press machine handle will not lower the top plare

I have a 5 in 1 heat press machine I have a problem with the knob when I turn it no matter how I turn it which will turn it it will not lower the top plate I've read some other problems of the same and tried those options still nothing is working how do I do this

Lisa, are you saying when you pull the handle it will not lock down or won't slide at all?  the know is the pressure adjustment and if lowered too much will not allow the handle to lock the platen down.
