New Titan...what is the recommended pressure and speed?

Recommended Posts

We just setup our Titan (1) 28 inch cutter last night. I've been doing some test runs with the pen that came with it. Now I want to move on to using an actual blade to cut some of our company logos. Nothing fancy, just single color, and not too complex. What is the recommended force and speed to run it on? We have 2 types of vinyl, Oracal 651 for car decals, and another vinyl for t-shirts, (sorry, can't recall the name off hand). Currently the cutter is set at it's default settings of 600 speed and force of 110.

First you must set your blade depth correctly, that  determines your force.  Speed?  Start slow until you learn your cutter. But run slow if your going to cut small text or detailed images.  This is how to set your blade depth correctly, posted hundreds of times on the forum.  No using a credit card or post it notes for setting blade depth.

To start with, you should set your blade depth correctly, by taking the blade holder out of the machine, and firmly cut across a piece of scrap vinyl, you will be cutting. You should only be cutting the vinyl and barely a mark on wax paper backing, Adjust blade to get there, Then put the blade holder back in machine, and use the force of the machine to get there, same results, only cutting the vinyl and barely a mark in wax paper backing. You should just barely see and feel your blade tip out of the blade holder.
